Duquette Submission Fighting Academy is based in Nicholville, NY, St. Lawrence County.

Duquette Submission Fighting owner is Al "Sonny" Duquette. Al is a veteran police officer and the North Country's most sought after martial artist for local citizens and Law Enforcement Officials.

Duquette trains his students in Reality Combat Street Fighting [Ultimate Fighting Techniques] which include stand up and ground fighting, takedowns, defenses and escapes.

Strikes that are taught are punches, elbows, kicks, knees and head butts, both standing and on the ground. Every possible escape known to martial artists throughout the world are taught here. Weapon defenses and all concepts of a reality street fight are shown to students.

Members can train on heavy bags, training dummies or with one another if they choose to.

Members can par take in Free Fight Night Sundays from 7-9pm. This class is for sparring only. Classes are taught by Al every Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday 7-9pm. (rarely one of his highest ranking students may take over). Minimum age to join is 10 years of age. Females must bring a partner to train with. See class schedule and fees.

After every class there is unlimited open mat time.
